I decided to pick this dvd out of the shelf and watch after I got it couple months ago. I found it's awesome.

Although the story is about pirates, planes, air-fight, love and tragic, it offers me the full stuffs of jokes. This is one of the movies which shows you how easy the terrifying pirates are messed by kindergarten kids. Moreover, most of jokes are closely the same as Hollywood jokes. I don't know quite much in comedies, but I popped pictures of many Hollywood animations while I was watching this film. I ensure everyone who loves Hollywood cartoons will share their hearts for this animation.

Aside from tons of humor, Miyasaki, the director, also put the tragic subplot in the film. I think he wants audience to realize how tragic the war is. In many points of view, war brings change to countries, profit to arms merchants, victory, advancement of mankind, etc. But one certain thing we do get is loss. In overall, this plot is long enough for me to consider but it doesn't interrupt the atmosphere surrounded by funny plots. Everyone can enjoy watching with popcorn.

In summarize, this movie is one of the Ghibli's work that is worth to watch. You will enjoy in every single minute and have big laughs.
